LOCALIZATION

''Localization'' provokes tedious discussions, in particular because of the commitments made in the framework
of the Grand Bargain at the World Humanitarian Summit in May 2016.
​
Some believe that more funding should be given to local, national and other local NGOs, and that their capacities should be further strengthened in order to replace international NGOs.
​
For the others, given that local, national NGOs and other local actors do not have the expertise and experience in project management, more lucidity and discernment are needed before implementing the localization mechanisms.
​
